Introduction |
Another way of using scripts to add interactive elements and other media types to QTVR is by using a program such as Macromedia Director (Shockwave) or ‘iShell’. The key difference with these programs is that they produce their own file types, effectively a scripted ‘shell’ around the medias they contain – linking them together. Truly multimedia tools! We will focus on Director - a very popular tool with multimedia developers. So what is Director? It is a tool that can be used to integrated and control various media types - producing content that can be deployed across both PC and Macintosh platforms. You may well have noticed that Macromedia – the same people behind Flash - produce Director. It therefore contains some nice integration between the two products.
