Another problem you may encounter is washed out colours in a scene. The following stitched panorama is, in it’s first incarnation quite washed out. This can happen when taking photos in the winter or on a cloudy/misty day when there is little in the way of shadow and contrast.

After editing in Photoshop, the colours and contrast were improved dramatically, adding up for a much richer environment in QTVR. This example would need more work to retain the details of the sky, etc. But you get an idea of what can be achieved.
